Driver safety training you can take in English

If you drive a car as part of your job in the Czech Republic, your employer must train you in road safety rules. This is that training, online and in English. Your employer buys the licence; you complete the course from a phone or a computer in about 30 minutes.

Why your employer needs this

The obligation sits with the employer, not with you. This is how it is met.

It is required by law

Under § 103 (2) of the Czech Labour Code, an employer must train every employee in the health and safety rules that apply to their work. Under § 349 (1), road traffic rules are part of those rules. This applies to anyone who drives at work, even occasionally.

It covers company and private cars

The training applies to employees who drive a vehicle up to 3.5 t in connection with their work — a company car, or their own car used for a business trip with the employer's consent. Driving does not have to be your profession.

It has to be provable

The Czech labour inspectorate does not just ask whether training happened. It asks what it contained, who guaranteed it and how knowledge was verified. Your employer receives all of that as documents.

It is valid for 12 months

The law sets no interval; the employer sets it based on a risk assessment. A 12-month cycle is the common practice, so each licence runs for 12 months and your employer is reminded 30 days before it expires.

How the training works

No account, no password, no installation. You can stop and come back later.

You receive an email invitation
Your employer adds your name and email address. You get a message with a personal link. That link is all you need.
You read eight short chapters
Around 25 minutes in total: legal duties, road rules, accidents, vehicle condition, first aid and more. Each chapter ends with control questions. Your progress is saved.
You sit the final test
20 questions drawn at random from a bank of 160, three options each. You need 80 % — 16 correct answers — to pass. If you do not pass, you see which chapters to revise and can retake the test as many times as you need.
You get your certificate
As soon as you pass, the certificate is issued and sent to you by email. Your employer sees the result in their account immediately.

What your employer receives

Every completed training feeds straight into the employer's health and safety records.

Certificate for each driver

A PDF with a certificate number, the date, the test result and the name of the qualified safety professional who guarantees the content. Its authenticity can be verified online.

Training record

A record of what was taught, on what legal basis, and how knowledge was verified — the document a labour inspector asks to see.

Attendance sheet

A list of trained employees for a chosen period, with dates and test results, confirmed electronically by each driver.

Model vehicle policy

A template internal directive for the operation of company vehicles, pre-filled with the company's details, ready to be adapted.

These documents are issued in Czech, and deliberately so. They are evidence for the Czech labour inspectorate (Státní úřad inspekce práce), which works in Czech, and they form part of your employer's Czech health and safety file. The training itself — the chapters and the test — is fully in English, so you take the course in a language you understand while your employer keeps paperwork an inspector can read.

Price

One licence covers one driver for 12 months and includes everything above. Prices are final — the operator is not a VAT payer, so no VAT is added.

The employer pays — by card, which activates the licences at once, or by bank transfer against an invoice, in which case we activate them once the payment arrives. Employees never pay anything.

The order form and invoicing are in Czech, because they are completed by the Czech employer and produce a Czech invoice and a processing agreement under GDPR. If you need help with the order in English, write to us and we will answer in English.
